Yes just as above, the beaches do get a lot of crap washed up.
All those drains with rubbish in gets washed down into the sea and up onto the beach. School kids are forever cleaning the beaches, but at this time of the year with higher winds off shore and rains filling those rivers.
Walk on the beach and swim in your pool. :)
