Why not slow your pace down a little and spend the evening there also , watching a performance at a decent theatre.
The best places in Ubud to see a Balinese dance performance are the Ubud Palace on Jl. Raya Ubud, the ARMA stage located at the southern end of Ubud, Padangtegal stage also is south central Ubud.
They usually start around 7.30 until 9.30.
