Within a short walk of the Jayarkarta, inland from the hotel, not on the beach-side exit are:
- Yutz for the best steaks in Bali and swiss potato cake
- Ryoshi for sensational Japanese food, which is along the main road, Jl Raya Seminyak about a block from the Bintang Supermarket, on same side of the road
- Warung Asia on the corner of Double 6 and Rum Jungle Road (orange sign) for Thai food.
for shopping take a trip in a taxi to Geneva, 100 Jalan Raya Kerobokan and go to the second and third floors, where wall to wall handicrafts and gives you an idea of prices if you prefer to buy same gear from the markets - that was the best tip I ever had for a first-timer.
Enjoy massages each day, just walk out of your hotel and find a spa along the adjoining roads and pick a favourite to return to.
