Aussie dollars in hundred dollar notes. Don't change it at the airport.You can pay visa on arrival in aussie dollars and they will give you change in Rupiah. That will get you started. Find a good money changer who does not charge commision and doesn't pay you in small notes. Just change a hundred at a time and count it at the counter. Good advice from the other posters is to have your card for emergency. enjoy your holiday
