yep, wages sound low in Indonesia and are but there is a minimum wage and people are aware of this. Some employees would be members of local Banjar. I have seen strikes that are supported by other employees of other places in vicinity of unhappy workforces and also the local Banjar forbidding people from going to work until issues such as work conditions are sorted.
