We used this service in November and yes we handed over passports and money for VOA also baggage tags. Felt a bit apprehensive but did so .. all I thought was that I am sure that is how celebrity's or "VIP's" do it.. (yes I know they have the money to bail them out if needed).
The concierge did everything and organised for a staff member to stand by our bags whilst he came back to get us. He showed us the visa stamp and walked through at the side of immigration and customs with us. No one said anything. We even had some chalk marks on one of the bags and were not asked to open. No one paid any attention to us really.
I was also really surprised that you could clear immigration without being seen and wondered whether there was a camera in the lounge area that we were waiting in that they could view but I dont think this is the case.
Great service by the way and I would use again.
