What I do is to take a colour scan of the inside page left and right of my passport and take both original and colour photo copy and get my Pharmasist to stamp it " certified copy of the original " and sign it... I take it to Bali and lock away my original passport and take around with me the certified copy, I have done this all over Asia and had no problems using it.as you know,you can do this here in Austrlia with your birth certificate and other documents.. it was accepted in the Australian Embassy in Sanur 2 years ago...
