so many of you are so sure that the animals at the Safari Park are drugged. how did you come to this conclusion? i suggest you spend a little more time googling to see just how active/inactive such animals really are, than on this forum spouting off unqualified opinions.
there ARE some facilities in Bali who dont really care as much for their animals as they should, but i do not believe Taman Safari to be the worst of them. i have spent a bit of time with wild animals in the past, and the big cats at Taman Safari appear to me to be no worse off than those i have seen elsewhere.
as someone mentioned, large cats spend a hell of a lot of time sleeping and they are rather docile animals. you must remember that these have spent most of their lives in captivity, so they are somewhat used to humans, and the close contact does not disturb them as much as such an animal in the wild.
if we have any veterinarians on the forum who can correct me, then i will take back my comments, but so far all of the comments have been made by armchair experts.
