Can't comment on your other questions, sorry, other than to say that Kodak shops are usually honest for money changing.

If you want something valuable made or remodelled in Bali - DON'T!! My painful experience from having a ring remodelled in Bali is a never-ending frustrating saga. Search the archives - heaps of info. If it's just costume jewellery then no worries.
