of 30% deposit for my accomadation for 15th december. I went to the bank twice - what a hassle. First time they said they had to have the exact street address of the bank and the hotel or it would bounce back with an extra fee. The cost to send was $30.00 AUD. Second time they said fee to send plus $25 US fee at the other end and it was going via a Neww York bank. I could not believe that it was actually going to get to the Ubud hotel plus I would have been billed for the $25 US charge as well as the $30 AUD fee. This as for budget accomadation mind you so I emailed hotel and asked them if they could please trust me to pay in full in 2 weeks when I arrive. They said of course they trusted me. I doubt whether a villa would do the same. I just didn't trust the telegraphic transfer. Have done them in the past with no problems however.
