resident visa to be able to live outside Australia on DPS, i have 2 friends who live in Thailand on Australian Disability support pensions and both are not Australian citizens.
There is the 2 in 5 rule where non Australian citizens have to spend at least 2 years in 5 in Australia or they are not entitled to a re entry permit.
Also depends when you first went on DPS,one friend has to return every 13 weeks which used to be every 26 weeks the other has been on DPS since 1985 and doesn't have to return at all only to make up his 2 in 5 to renew his visa.
They both still get Pharmaceutical allowance,telephone allowance and a small amount of rent assistance even though they are living most of their time outside Australia.
I know this as i am their mailing address in Australia and receive all info from Centrelink and convey back to them in Thailand.
