and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's on the high side of the coast road so you get fantastic views and sea breezes while sitting on your room's balcony. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean with AC and a fan.
Much is made by others about the steps to get to rooms. I didn't have any problem with them as they're wide and deep and have a shallow rise. If you think they'll be a problem, go for a room on a low level.
The pool is relatively small but more than adequate for a cool down (it gets quite hot in Amed) and paddle and you get a great view of the ocean from it as you do from the sun lounges as well. Beach access is via a private entry after you cross the coastal road.
We had breakfast included in our stay and the restaurant food was good. The staff are friendly and the grounds are spotless and well maintained.
They don't hire snorkelling gear but a 5 minute walk down to the Coral View will have you find what you need.
It's really worth getting up early when you're staying there. From your room's balcony or a short walk along the coast road, you'll see the sun rise, Lombok and Gunung Rinjani and fishing boats with their colourful sails returning to the beach.
I'd recommend the Bayu Cottages.
