I love my few days alone in Bali after hubby has gone back to surf in the Indonesian equivalent of Woop Woop.
Years ago a Balinese told me to never ever tell anyone that I was alone. I took this with a grain of garam but it has been really good advice. Solo females can be seen as fair game by not only "Kuta Cowboys" but also by tourists.
You will find that you are asked constantly if you are alone - always say - No, you are meeting your husband/friends shortly.
Really, just common sense.
