We've stayed at the Ida many times and always found it to be clean, It is an older style hotel but its of international standard and run by a large hotel chain and managed by an Australian, so you can expect reasonable standards. It is situated down a bitumen paved laneway away from the hustle of kuta so its also very quiet. I would recommend one of the delux bungalows
