We stayed at LVH Joni 1 in July this year. Yes there is a bit of noise there, but nothing we could not sleep through. The band usually finished around 11 which was when we were going to bed anyway. Our friend stayed at Joni 2 and had to move because he found it very noisy from the clubs on Garlic lane. Especially Hulu's. We had 2 rooms on level 1 and they had a huge balcony with table and chairs out front which looked over the pool and down garlic lane etc. The other place i would recommend which is similar to LVH is Suriwathi in Garlic lane. It is set back from the road and has a nice pool area etc. Hope this helps.
