when we have been to Bali the last couple of times there was a "big wave/high seas warning". Yes the seas were high and there were some big waves. Unfortunately some people at home and some tourists in bali staying at the same hotels as us heard that there were high tidal waves and they thought it was a tsunami, instead of just big waves that were more pronouced with the high tide.
Watch out for the big waves though! coz they can suck you out to sea (very strong undertow)
