went Oct 07, there were 17 of us and had no bargaining power at all. Tried direct with hotel where we have been staying for last 5 years and it made no difference to price. Actually worked out cheaper to do package but the numbers made no difference there either. Good luck and have a great time, I love going with a group, especially with first timers.
