I agree a lot of young people have an apathy toward learning but I don't think that's really the issue here. The problem lies in some people assuming they have an understanding of anothers situation or circumstance based on a few holidays musings. We have no idea as to someones backround or history who posts on this forum.
What if a person has a learning disability who wishes to contribute? Do you think ozzy type reactions will encourage further use of this forum as a learning tool or mechanism to improve their literacy? Perhaps this person has had to deal with severe health issues for the majority of their life and as such has not had the opportunity for normal learning.
Now obviously I have no idea if this is the case with toughenuprincess, but I find it arrogant and down right RUDE for a person to make assumptions that all is normal, and then proceed to attack the poster when all they wish to do is be a part of a travel forum and convey their experience.
I wish I had a bigger slingshot, so as to fire bigger rocks. ;)
