If a hotel doesnot have a secure website with the padlock in the bottom right hand corner when paying with visa then you should not use it.
A secure site sends encripted info and the hotel only gets deposit or payment not the card users info
giving your card details out is asking for trouble if it isnt secure.
Most people in this world are honest,but remember a lot are not.
Like some others i have a visa with a small ammount that I use for overseas bookings and would not use my main one.
