stayed in Amed, (Lipah Bay), late August of this year at Bayu Cottages for three nights. Cost per night, 27 Euro including breakfast. Room overlooking the bay. Would not hesitate to recommend this place. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back, in September with our children, (young adults) and friends.
Amed, (Lipah Bay) is a wonderful place. Not a place to go to if you want to have an active night life or go shopping. A lot hotter & drier that the main coastal tourist locations. The local people are so friendly. Go for a walk along the goat tracks along the surrounding hills and take in the views, as well as see and talk to the locals to get an appreciation of how hard a life some people have.
Hire a local fishing boat to take you to some great reefs or you can go snorkelling from the beach.
Some very good places to eat in, cheap, and the quality is good.
I am sure that you will not regret going there.
