I take about $2000 in one hundred dollar bills & then put it in my safe in the room. some people just use the ATM's, but I don't like the fees my bank charges for international withdrawls.
I also cash about $30-50 aus dollars into rup so when I arrive I have money for drinks & taxi.
I have never taken US as it would confuse me to much US to Rup, then back to aus to check to see if I am getting a bargin.
I also use my c/c in department stores.
