The hotel charges in $US dollars then does a conversion ( interesting one at that) to Rp. Total Bill is in Rp of which you have to pay from your AUS$ if you are say Australian. ( another conversion).
Gee I am so glad to only have to pay out this conversion link for a few nights in Dec. The rest of my accom is all set in AUS$.
you lose alot with multiple conversions. ?
