I forgot to mention a couple of things that I wanted to say.
We were there for the 6th Bali Bombing memorial, we didn't go out that night because I was sick, but the whole "feeling" during our trip was that everyone was in holiday mode.. it was fairly busy but not flat out and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I wouldn't be too worried, and like many have said before - if you are worried, simply don't go.
We went to the Bounty Hotel one day while we were walking around Kuta looking at things and decided to have a swim at the back pool and a beer or two. It was a very relaxing hour in between shopping and walking around.. :) I thought a good idea..
We went out on our last night to some of the Kuta Night clubs. I don't remember which ones or what they were called. Jungle juice is evil and makes people fall into fish ponds. I had to "fish" my boyfriend out of the one at the hotel... he woke up with cuts and bruises all over his body the next morning. I woke up in one of the single beds, not knowing how I got there haha.. very funny night... The bokisah helped me in the morning and helped the boy with his cuts aswell.
Our flight left at 9.50 am so we left the hotel at 7.30 am and went straight to that lounge where you pay about 100,000 rp each to relax and eat their food. Definately worth the money!! Chairs very comfy and hardly anyone in there.
Again, thanks for reading :)
