Hi all after much waitng and forum reding and questions asked and answered we left for Bali wahoooooooooooooooo.

Flew garuda from melbourne on 14/10 at 10.55 am. Left home at 6.15 in limo child was beside herself about the surpise of limo.
Almost at airport garuda rings flight been cnacelled until 11.55 pm that night AAAARRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NNNOOOOOOOOO. Tears started roll. Anyone decided as we where closer to airport than home again just headed in anyway. Garuda put all of us up at hotel provided lunch and dinner for the day, how nice of them.

Plane left as reschedulled and we arrived in Bali 3 am (been up now over 24 hours.) All my prior research upon landing went out the window. I had no contigency plan for 3 am arrival there are no taxis there is no where to get cashed changed arghhhhhhhhhhhhh . Let the games begin on trying to get transport. Much cajoling and to and froing in price managed to get a dude to take us in his mini bus along with others to the BGH how nice of him. Turns out he was going there with everyione anyway. Yeahhh for us we had arrived.

Quick check in BGH great and helpul and up to our rooms. We had room 301 and 302 connecting rooms.
Reminded child (13) call her L not to drink the water. Quick bleary eyed shower then rest.

Breakfast was great cant complain L was like a pig in poo she was in hog pig heaven and trust me she snorted and grunted her way through breaky every mornign like one too heheheheh. L would demolish four pancakes and sometimes two boiled eggs too plus, toast fruit and juice and tea most mornings then still want lunch, the cheek of her. L more than made up for the few that i slept through. Value for money there my child got, where do kids find the room for all that first thing. All the offerings where there eggs anyway you like, fruit, mini pastries, bacon, fried vegies mix thingy or tomatoes, sausgages, pancakes, nasi goreng ( never quite got to the nasi ), and great friendly staff not to forget the toast, mmmmmmmmm bali power supply, learnt very quikcly which toaster was quicker and to chuck it in before i even sat down.

Just then spent the day by pool walked to mataharis to get supplies and light bit of shopping.
Dinner was at bubba gumps rigth across the road thought it was just an okay meal nothing special I thought, but then my job is managing a fish and chips shop. L and mum and other friend M seemed to be okay with it. I did think it was one of the most expensive meals we had about 880.000 rp for four.

Now the BGH loved it loved it loved thought it was great pools excellent, place great, spot close to everything, staff friendly and happy, right on beach ( although beach works still going on so did not go to beach ).
Pool bar wonderful although as we where to find out they where and so where a lot of othr place out of some grog. I told everyone no dont buy it duty free can get in bali cheaper but no couldnt find any where ot buy grog or if we did they wanted way to much. One place wanted 880,000 rp for bottle of baileys about $ 140.00 au.
They even rang out of bintang at pool bar one afternoon but next day was okay, didnt effect me as i dont drink beer and was fine with the cocktails i could get so all is good for my little world.

Met brumi cat and norma jean there, great peeps and where helpful as well, unfortunatly one of their men well what can i say the poor man had a liking to a certain black and white bird tried to tell him once that brown and yellow birds much better to admire in a footy team.

Day over and bed beckoned ohhh my swollen feet needed sleep.

Next report will just be a run down i shant bore you all with each day but just a few bits and peices cheers to all who helped me over the past few months. Cheers JA
