Saw your post after you got back and have been waiting 'somewhat' patiently for your JBR's. Really sorry about your family member, very sad news to come back to.
What a hassle at the airport! I too have been rushed at the airport (my own fault of course! not easy travelling with small children sometimes) & bugger to choose the wrong bag to take on - have been there before!
Am particularly interested in your reports as we are staying at the private apartments at Jayakarta in Dec and am also considering whether to do Bali Zoo, Safari Park or both! We did the Safari Park in June and husband would like to go back but I've heard that the zoo has animals you can touch etc as well so very interested to hear your reports. We will also be there for a week in March but it will be over the Nyepi period. I was thinking maybe Zoo in Dec then Safari in Mar or vice versa. Haven't done the zoo before tho.
