and work i the travel industry. to be honest, people in my office dont really even talk about the upcoming executions. most of my local friends do want to see the bombers executed sooner rather than later (please lets not get into a debate about that again) but they are not being bloodthirsty about it. they want it done so that they can move on.
people are not walking around looking over their shoulders and nor does the local population seem pre-occupied with thoughts of what may or may not happen.
they are more concerned with the 45 year old man from java who has taken a 12 year old wife with her parents blessing, moved to singapore, and is now looking for a 7 or 8 year old wife. THATS what they are talking about this week. definitely not the upcoming executions.
