Haven't you heard of the old adage, 'Snow on the roof, fire in the furnace'? They put their good & decent wives to bed and then go out chasing butterflies (of the night). However you are correct, as most of them have Alzeimers or Bundy induced brain damage, they do not remember paying - or what they have paid for. The night butterflies love them, as an easy & regular source of income. BIMC values their custom too - many fractured hips from jogging near that park near Hardys.
