yes you are right it was chalev. by chance just as he had put the stencil on the power went off this was about 10am, the power did not get put on till 3pm so i gave me plenty of time to check it out, a lot of balinese could not read it but i did find a few that could and they did confirm it was old style and also i asked them to pronounce the word and that did confirm it was my son's name.
