Hi there. Just a quickie re regarding my 3 weeks in Bali. I fainted at the airport after 2 1/2 hours of waiting to get through immigration. That was ok-woke up on a settee with lots of concerned faces with guns. Initially I was wondering like "hello, what have I done". Drugs did enter my mind briefly until I remembered I don't do drugs or smuggled. I was helped to my feet, concerned faces from hubby and son and we were on our way.Yeah!! Got to the cases the only ones remaining and saw the white chalk mark. That was ok, he was just wanting to check out my hair straightner. Arrived at our hotel and the holiday began.
We had an absolute ball as always. That was until..........
I got sick in Amed, no Dr available so headed to BIMC after an agonising night in the villa with the worst runs ever that just did not stop. (exuse me for talking about the runs, cant spell the real word)!!
Arrived at BIMC feeling half dead at 5pm and was admitted into a bed with an IV by 5.25pm. Tests revealed I had faeces contaminated food or drink. I had a parasite. Medication given which was to be taken for 3 weeks which had yukky side effects, and they gave me anti stomach cramp tablets as well as anti nauseaus ones to help which I never took.
Diaganosed with dehydration too after my night in Amed. I really know I was naughty not to drink fluids but I just could'nt. I was terrified to I would poop in the drivers car too.
Anyway-BIMC, bloody fantastic. Staff were beautiful, so caring, so kind and I left so much better. Cost was $800.
When you walk in and see John Howard on the wall you feel ok, sounds odd but thats how I felt. I knew this was not Bali Belly. In all my travels to Bali I have never been ill. My appetite was affected for a couple of weeks as could not stomach the usual meals. Lost 4kg and have already put on worst luck. BMIC rocks, if you are unsure go straight there if you know something is not right..
