noneed to leave bali to get great snorkeling. you can go to amed for the day or spend the night there, but if you go to matahari hotel, the have a dive shop you can rent gear from and then hold all your things in the restaurant on the beach while you go swim out and have a GREAT snorkel. it is not a far swin, the sea is calm, and the view is great in shallow water!! many fish, corals, and lots to see all in 5 minute swin from the shore!!
