Tetebatu is really like Bali 30+ years ago. It is a hilltown reminiscent of Ubud. There are not as many handicrafts, but I just visited local hand weaving, pottery factories and blacksmiths. You are staying in homestays surrounded by rice terraces and tobacco fields. There are guided trips to a real monkey forest and huge waterfalls. The weather is cooler and there are often good views of Mt Rinjani.
