Returned Bali to Perth on 3.10pm Indojet last Saturday 18th October.

The plane is pretty small, but the advantage of that is that not so many people to process coming through immigration.

Was pretty impressed by the speed we came through. We were sitting toward the rear of the plane, there was a short delay (5 mins) before disembarking as a passenger had a bit of a turn during the flight, but once off there were virtually no queues to get through immigration. Also, non-Australians no longer have to go through a different queue - so for the first time I was able to go through with my husband who is a resident.

Bags were already on the conveyor belt, so picked up our luggage straight away and went to 'declare' queue. No waiting there either - quick look at our stuff and we were out of the airport. From landing to exit was no more than 25 mins.

The Indojet flight was ok - no complaints, pretty much what I would expect with a 'budget' charter. Took off 10 mins late waiting for one couple who received a cheer when the strolled on. One person sitting at the rear of the plane sharing their love coughing almost continuously, sneezing, and must have gone through a box of tissues during the flight, grossing a few of us out - now I have the flu too - but that happens, and can happen on any flight.

They were very strict with luggage allowances, and weighed our hand-luggage in Perth as well as check-in luggage, but didn't weigh hand luggage in Bali. Neither did they security check for liquids etc in hand luggage in Bali.

The only down side I had with Indojet was they are very inflexible on changing dates - wanted $90 per ticket to change our flights by one day. The rate for the available seats on their website was the same as we had initially paid, so even though they claimed it was a different class of fare, it wasn't really.
