Myself, wife & 3mth baby.
Flying Garuda out of Perth. I think they use Qantas staff for check-in.
We were 4.5 Kgs over between the 3 of us. The wife & I allowed 20 Kgs each & bub 10 Kgs.
So instead of 50Kgs we were 54.5Kgs.
The stupid mole tried telling me the stroller wasn't included in free check in, before asking a supervisor & then backing down. So stroller flu for free. Then she tries to charge me 7 Kgs over. I told her no, I watched the bags go on & I think you'll find it is only 4Kgs....well she weighs the bags again & comes up with 4.5 Kgs.
O.k that's then rounded up to 5Kgs so we pay the fifty get ticked & are told your not sitting with your wife & baby, Garuda have blocked the seat next to her. Have to wait for the Garuda rep to come in so I can be seated next to my family.
O.k we were over but so are a lot of people that don't pay.
It's very hard to travel with young ones & come in under the weight restrictions. 2 bags should have been 20...1 was 22.5
1 bag was 21 & bubs bag was 11.
What really peeves me is my brother flies over 2 weeks after us & is let go 6 Kgs over????
They need to stop giving the check-in mole the disrcetion to decide who pays & who doesn't...if she likes the look of u you can get away with it....That's my b1tch!!!!
