I bought a Motorola V3 from Handphone Shop in Denpasar a couple of years ago and all i needed to do was buy a charger from australia but I just used an adapter instead.
Phone was unlocked, but ask to make sure, so worked fine with the networks(Optus and Vodafone) over here.
Phone was fantastic, worked great and is still a back up for me.
