We stay next door at the Griya Santrian, and we walk to Hardy's. It's easily doable, even with our dicky knees. However, once you've got the groceries and the Bintang, you might want to take a bemo or a taxi back to the hotel. Check out the link below to Wikimapia. It will show you where Hardy's is, then scroll upwards to find the Besakih. That will give you a good idea of the distance.
