Got back last Thursday early hours of the morning after 12 wonderful nights in Bali. Travelled Ozjet and had no complaints, on time, nice staff, excellent flight. When we arrived so did about 4 other planes one after another so waiting time was busiest I have seen it. Everything went slowly but smoothly. Got our bags, ordered 2 taxis to Seminyak as there were 4 adults, 2 children(14 and 9)and bags. No problems. Arrived at our hotel down a very long windy gang Sari Dewi and straight into the pool. Seminyak Suites (not to be confused with Seminyak Suite Villa) was a small boutique hotel - budget but very nice staff, comfy beds, nice pool, cheap meals - if they bought some new crockery and installed a cappucino machine it would be brilliant! Our 2 kids loved the place and the staff made them so welcome in fact they always wanted to stay at the hotel for meals and talk to the staff. The security guard at night even played chess with them while we were out. My daughter (14) fell in love with Bali right there and is determined to return to that same hotel.
We went to Ku De Ta for dinner that night to please our first timer friends travelling with us who thought our hotel a little budget. The main eating area was booked so they offered us the bar menu and we sat outside near the beach. Beautiful pizza and lovely trendy atmosphere - our friends loved it. It was pricey, glad we didn't get the main menu. That was a first and last visit for us. I have been for breakfast there last year and it was reasonably priced and excellent!
No hot water shower that night but it was fixed by morning.
