pick the Lokha anyday over the Melasti
Have stayed at a few hotels in Bali and Melasti is the only we would never return to. I found the place.....well, for want of a better word- very "boganish". Nearly everyday of our stay there were kids running around with bebe guns and on 3 different occassions drunken men arguing with the reception staff. Sorry....this is how it was when we were there and hence our decision not to stay again. Also found the breakfast, while more than adequate, the area just felt grotty. Everyone has a different opinion on accomodation and you can only call it as you see it.
Our son is 16 now he was 13 when we stayed at the Melasti and 14 when we stayed at the Lokha - his choice was also the Lokha. There were a couple of kids there when we stayed and he loved the pool area and staff - they were great to him.
It's certainly not a family hotel like Melasti but it has everything you could want.
