Finally I am getting the time to return to share all my shopping haunts. Until I sat down to write this post I really didn't think I did much shopping on this trip but maybe I did my fair share after all!!

Took a trip over to Jenggala Ceramics in Jimbaran Bay. Discovered this place about 2 and half years ago & just LOVE it. Not cheap but still a lot cheaper for the same type of product in Australia. It is a huge showroom full of gorgeous dinnerware and glassware. I have purchased 2 dinner sets from here now & always head back to pick up a few extra plates, jugs, bowls etc that match my set. They pack up everything in a box ready to be checked in on the plane, never had anything broken yet.

Went to see Aristo at Merry's Collection to get quite a few things made, however, because of Ramadan his tailor's were all heading up to Java so he couldn't help me. Was only selling stock pre-made in shop. He sent me to another tailor on Jl Padma Utara, I think Alvi Tailor, but the experience wasn't so good. He did a good job of the leather purse/wallets I had copied but wasn't great on the clothes.

For shoes for me I always head to Papillon where I always pick up a pair of nice sandals. I also bought 2 pairs for my daughter here. They have the cutest kids shoes here for the girls. They are now also stocked in Centro which makes it all that more convenient. I also picked up a pair of gladiator type sandals at a shop directly across the road called Kalyan. This shop came recommended to me by a friend & was lovely. A shop called Phia Shop on Jl Raya Basangkasa in Seminyak also had a good range of shoes but I had quite a few of her styles already from last years trip. Worth a visit here though as relatively inexpensive still.

I bought dresses from Lulu, always have something nice here, but again not cheap. Another couple of nice boutiques recommended on the forum that I found lovely were Pascal Magali & Anouck. Both really nice. I found some great little shops on Jl Oberoi also where I picked up little sun dresses. Worth heading down this stretch for a wander.
This is also where Joy Jewellery is located, well worth a visit. I had mine picked out from their website & was even more pleased than I thought I would be with it. The bracelets are gorgeous. I am not a huge costume jewellery fan so didn't really look anywhere else but along here is also where Sea Gypsy is.

Kids Shopping :
Did the usual Body & Soul Bambini, Indigo Kids & Kids-A-Gogo. Thankfully all these 3 are now stocked at Centro so you can do all three in the same place. I found the range of Body & Soul here quite good. Picked up some cute 3/4 pants for the boys from Kids-A-Gogo as well as a few things from B & S for my daughter. The B & S kids bathers are also very cute.
Did another visit to The Fairy Shop on Jl Padma Utara which my daughter always gets seduced by. Ended up with a leotard/fairy number which she just loves.
Two new kids clothing stores I found were Clara Mia, on Jl Oberoi, which had the most divine little girls clothing. Beautiful skirts, dresses & blouses in beautiful patterened fabrics. I took my nearly 6 year old daughter here, wasn't game enough to choose for her as very, very fussy, and she proceeded to feel the tops and tell me she didn't like the fabrics! There were two other mum's in the shop at the time who found it very humorous that a 6 year old is fussy on fabrics. My idea's of buying her some gorgeous pieces from this store were shot down very quickly. Managed to get through 1 top & some cute necklaces. I could have bought a lot from here if daughter would have worn though.
The second new shop was Dandelion on Jl Raya Basangkasa in Seminyak. Lovely things for both girls & boys here, worth a look. Neither of these were especially cheap, both very good quality though & a little different to what you can buy at home.

My daughter was also desperate to purchase a Card for her newly acquired Nintendo DS Lite. Not knowing what the hell I was doing, I can't even play the thing, off we went in search of the cards. Tried upstairs at Centro but didn't have much luck, and ended up purchasing a 26 game card at the toy section of Matahari's. Paid 450,000rp (about $60) so was happy with this. Probably not the cheapest around but it suited us fine. She loves it & is very, very happy. Once she had purchased this I noticed her participation in the shopping trips dwindled considerably.

Didn't do much homewares shopping this year, but did visit a favourite store called Leolle in Seminyak. Beautiful placemats, cushion covers, photo frames etc. Bought a friend some placemats & coasters from here. Also went to Bali Zen which had cheap, but very nice, placemats for myself. Ended up with 6 placemats, napkins & Napkin rings for about $25. these were also the nicest placemats that I found so was very happy.

Cannot think of anything else to report on shopping. I quess I did my fair share of shopping but certainly wasn't too extravagant this trip. In general, I found the cost of most things had gone up, especially clothing, but as long as I still felt the workmanship was good I was still happy to buy.

Thanks...
