competition has just been held in Tuban. This years event was held at the new BuGils Bar. This bar is operated by Bartele Satema who penned the very good book Bule Gila.
A Sanur resident took out the over 60's event. Robbie Taylor from the Jolly Boys Club achieved a new distance record distance of 12 metres.
In his acceptance speech Robbie mentioned that he was hyped up by having just being charged 20,000 rupiah for a small Bintang.
A rare form of motivation but well done Robbie!
Another Sanur regular Mick Taylor (no relation to Robbie) took out the "Bar Stool Tackle and Crash" event. This was with a leap of nearly three metres.
The audience was only small but quite vocal.
Event organiser Percy Vernon, is thinking of dropping the "Bar Stool Tackle and Crash" from future events. This is a consequence of an arm injury to Colin Hutchy Hutchinson who proceeded to bleed all over me. (I had volunteered to be the First Aid Officer for the event).
Sponsorship is being looked at for next years event.
