farts group. I feel it is only fair to inform you of what is really happening in the Village. There is an intensive beach restoration programme going on.
I must admit it did take us a while to notice it, however we are on to it now!
About 100 metres from my place they have pumped in thousands of cubic metres of sand. This did not come from another part of the island. It came from the seabed.
The ship that is pumping the sand could not possibly carry that much wet sand from other parts of this island. It would be impossible! The logistics of it would be ridiculous.
Some times I have woken up in the middle of the night (7.30PM) an wandered down to check out the progress. As the sand is getting pumped in there are front end loaders and trucks moving it into a huge stockpile.
The beach restoration programme has been suspended whilst the ASEAN Games are taking place.
Currently there are scantily clad maidens from 45 different countries cavorting around down there playing volleyball. I went down to look at them this morning but I just could not remember the reason I was looking at them, so I came home for a wonderful glass of warm milk and Horlicks.
After my midday nap I am going down to the Spirit Cafe to listen to a bit of live music. The group down there do a lovely rendition of "how much is that doggy in the window". They make the place go off.
