I spent a night and two days up at Pacung in August too and recommend Pacung Indah as a great place to stay.
We headed from there up to my husbands village in the north but on the way back took the Kintamani road, I would like to spend a night or two up there too. There are some stunning views, lots of restaurants just below Kintamani town itself, with stunning views of the mountain and lake. The first time I have actually had to stop the car to put another top on as I was cold!
Maybe you could do a similar round trip up the Pacung/Bedugal Road and back the Kintamani road.
