this year.
Loved both.
Indah is the closest to the Monkey Forest and is down a short access road that is overhung by lush trees and bushes. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff are superb. We had a lovely upstairs room with a big daybed and we sat and read and enjoyed the views for several hours a day. Lovely little pool area is down a few steep steps and is excellent. Breakfast is great and is served in a little open air area near reception.
Shanti is stunning. We stayed in the Indus room (i think) which was an upstairs room that was almost as big as our apartment - beautiful bed and big bathroom. Large balcony with day bed and table chairs where they served breakfast each day. Pool is lovely with an outlook down to a small river and out across the rise paddies. Most days we had pool to ourselves and loved just lounging around.
We walked down to have a look at the Jiwa and was also impressed with this hotel - great rooms all with lovely views. Pool area is a little shaded but that is only a problem in the cooler months - july august.
We are booked already to go back in August next year at the Shanti and then on to the Alam Gili.
A great family run set of hotels to enjoy true Bali hospitality.
