monday i received a phone call from my travel agent ,telling me creative had put all their bookings up in price(and so had other agents)
I had ihour to pay an extra i,ooo dollars,we are doing a trip to vietnam,cambodia,singapore and 2weeks in Bali for Christmas
they did not receive the information on E mail till they arrived at work Monday morning
I also mentioned that when we booked a trip for last year our dollar was w0rth 97 cents at that time and no discount was given
According to them a trip to Bali next year will be around $15,00
FROM SYD(fuel taxes etc)
So many people have been caught out this time,and feel it could only hurt the travel agents business,with more of us looking to book in future through the internet
Would be very interested to here from anyone,if their bookings with the hotels through the internet have also gone up according to agents 20%????????
