Hi Jlee. The first couple of times we took our little boy we used the hotel cots. None of them were great but they were ok for a small baby. We took our 18 mth old son again in January this year stayed at a couple of hotels and the cots definately weren't up to scratch. They weren't very clean and VERY rickety so he would have been able to climb straight out of them (if they hadn't already collapsed under the weight!). We went to Mataharis and bought a portacot, it was pretty expensive (i think about $100 but I really couldn't be bothered shopping around). We ended up bringing it home and it is a fantastic cot. I have heard tho that you can buy them cheaper at Carrefour. We are heading back over there on Saturday but the little guy is in a bed now so it'll be heaps easier!
