Hi we have just come back from bali on friday and stayed at bgh i will be honest we were meant to be in a superior room interconnecting with our teenagers room BUT when they showed us the room it was two rooms no interconnection and both rooms had single beds!! it took three tries and they finally relented and upgraded us to a deluxe room that was interconnecting on 4th floor (lift was out of service) which meant lots of stair climbing for 11 days finally got fixed the day we were leaving.The rooms are in need of renovating everyone we talked to agreed that they were old and in need of work (which they have started but wiil take ten years!!) the beds were comfy and air/con fantastic the rooms were not clean to my standard but they do change sheets and mop every day. if you want a good hotel at similar price try ramada bintang it is a little further along but a really big beautiful resort much nicer rooms
BGH has just had the three pools done and they are truly fantastic and as for the buffet it was really cool at first but after 12 days got sick of the small variety of choices (pancakes,eggs ,bacon,fruit,
only orange juice,tea or coffee no cereal ,then there was rice and french toast or grilled tomatoes and toast) this was really crap compared to ramada bintang which offers much more and great value!
all up i would not stay at bgh again the staff were great but is let down by rooms! i have also stayed at kartika plaza which is excellent but pricey and the dynasty is good but rooms need some work too!!hope this helps:)
