it wasn't a remodel job it was made from scratch! I bought 5 new diamonds at the same time to be added to the design and in the end had over 30 stones set into the ring, so it was a lot of work. In fact Mayang Jewellers (Kuta Square) pulled out of doing it for me when the goldsmith saw my design and counted the number of stones to be set (range from large to small). It cost me about AUD$300 to have made including the price of the 5 new diamonds. It's a large ring with a very unusual design. It's a valuable piece and I was more than happy with the quality of the workmanship, the perfect interpretation of my design and the cost. A girlfriend of mine has just had a remodel of a ring and only had one diamond added the same size as mine and that cost her AUD$1,500 so I'm very happy! I also had another piece remodelled and a ring resized. A resize of a ring in Sydney costs about $45. So know your prices of work and stones before you go. If you have any more Q's you can email me. I have left my email open - clink on my blue name and remove the "no spam" from the address.
