you will need a sponsor. This is quite easy to organise once you are here. When you renew between the third month and the fourth month you will also have to report to the Immigration Office and have your fingerprints taken.
This is when the sponsor comes in handy.
The Police and the Immigration seem to love photos. Between them they have over 200 photos of me and have taken my fingerprints on about 15 occasions.
I have lived in Indonesia on various different visas for a bit longer than 10 years. I recently turned 55 and changed to the retirement visa. They only needed 22 photos of various sizes for this particular visa.
My own family reckon I am butt ugly and have no photos of me anywhere. It is great to know that someone wants my picture.
