- visit are firstly the Baturiti markets, just a bit further up the hill than Pacung (a good place to rest a while, have a snack and enjoy the views down the mountain towards Kuta) which is very much a locals market, crowded with vegetables in the front but with many little stalls (including gold/silver smiths towards the back) that you wont see anywhere else.
Further up the hill are the Candikuning markets near the town of Bedugul. These are a mixed local and tourist market, very popular becaus of the famous Crackers Bar and Grill and the fairytale toilets, right back in the left hand corner. Here you can get spices, beautiful nuts and fruit, especially strawberries in season and tamarillos.
A little further on you drive down into the caldera of a volcano (extinct for the time being of course) where you can see the temple on the lake, Pura Luhur Bratan.
Further on y0u can turn left where the road starts to rise steeply again and drive past the twin lakes where there are picnic spots and a bit further on there is a small restaurant and coffee plantation called Ngiring Ngewedang at Dusun Tamblingan, Dusa Munduk.
A bit further on are the Munduk Falls, an easy walk from the road and very peaceful.
