We left Perth on the Saturday flight at 7.15am 11th October 6 of us 4 regulars and 2 first timers - no problems with Garuda flight -landed got through VOA and customs all in 20 minutes - driver was waiting to pick us up (Thanks for the info I pre-arranged the driver before we left)just a hint I e-mailed him the details eg that there were 6 of us with luggage - he told me no problems he could carry 8 - well I dont know where he would put them as it was a very tight squeeze for 6 of us and very hot. Anyway we were on holidays - got to the Puri Raja Hotel in Legian - this is the first time we have stayed here and it was beautiful - we requested ground floor rooms close to the pool and that is what we got - the rooms were quite large clean with a lovely verandah out the front with table and chairs. As we had arrived before 12pm our rooms were not ready so we went to the bar and had cocktails while we waited after all we were on holidays.
We only did two tours this trip that was to the Safari Park which was amazing - got photos with the orangatangs and the baby cub then went swimming at the pool it was a great day for all. Our other trip was white water rafting which was fantastic (although I have done this many times I still really enjoy it) except the steps at he end. Did heaps of shopping that Surf warehouse at Kuta Gallaria was fantastic we got some really cheap quicksilver roxy etc clothes but I recommend you go early like when it opens as it gets really packed and you have to queue for up to an hour to pay during peak times.
