I booked on Monday leaving on Dec 15th - 26th and got return flights with Virgin for $490 return each includes all fees, taxes and c/c fee for myself and 2 littlies (kids same price as adults).
My husband and other son are going out on the 19th and paid $790 return each. Obviously it was alot cheaper to go the few days earlier, what I'm saving on flights pays for my accommodation for those days so I thought what the heck.
I couldn't believe there was flights available for xmas at those prices. I would have preferred going closer to Xmas and staying after but that jumped up by about $2K so I thought bugger that, I'll take what I can get.
I don't think Virgin have started flying there yet from Perth??? so hopefully there won't be a problem - that won't be funny.
There seemed to be alot of availability with the flights but accommodation was of course tricky but found something suitable in the end.
If anyone's interested it's worth looking still but probably depends where you're flying from. Cheers!
